Who are we?

Action Child Aid (Aktion Børnehjælp) is a non-profit humanitarian organisation that operates independently of political and religious interests. We specialise in improving access to education, health and equal rights for marginalised groups with a focus on children. Our values are based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We are of course a member of the trade association of fund-raising organisations in Denmark, ISOBRO.

All children should have equal rights!

Since the 1960s, Action Child Aid has worked with Indian children and their families through close relations with our local partners. We consist of a few employees, some interns and more than 60 dedicated volunteers that work in close collaboration with our partners in India to ensure a safe childhood for poor and marginalised children in South-East India. We focus on the principle that aid must be sustainable and thus able to be continued by the locals themselves once projects have been completed.

Vision

Action Child Aids strives towards a world in which all children can experience a healthy, secure childhood and have equal access to education through schools to ensure that they can create their own futures.

Mission

Action Child Aid works actively to ensure that poor and vulnerable children and adolescents in India are given a good childhood and schooling. Action Child Aid wants to help families and local communities to create better conditions for children and adolescents, so that they can create their own future. We do this by ensuring better development opportunities for children and their families.
